Yes!
Look at this beauty!! Not many players could handle this beautiful behemoth!
NO affiliation with seller, just oogling and admiring and wanted to share.

I am a huge fan of 7 String basses, so when I saw this I was very intrigued. Scary weight, but nobody stands up with a 7 string anyway. I had a gig for 14 years straight playing the lobby lounge at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, which was ideal for 7 string because it was just bass and piano. In that situation, you are seated, and asked to really stretch your range on the bass, so the 7 is the perfect choice. I was using a Smith 7 in cocobolo back then, and I sold it once the gig was over. One of many foolish sales I have made over my career, especially since the guy won't sell it back. I ended up buying this one on approval, so we shall see if it plays and feels half as good as it looks. My hope is that it will fill that void and be a better bass than my Smith was. I have no doubt that will be the case.
Normally I prefer unlined fretless basses, but with a 7, it may be a blessing. I am also glad it does not have LED's because they can make it very hard to see the fret lines. For me, the simplest circuits work best for fretless. I usually only use the bridge pickup, and having a Q switch to allow me to boost the mids is perfect for a fretless. I ordered a set of flats for it, and will set the bass up to my liking when it arrives. This should be a fun one!

Oh Man, the beast showed up today! Ya know what? It ain't such a beast after all. It is barely heavier than my 5 string Balance K Deluxe, and lighter than some I have had. On top of that, the neck that looks so imposing in photos is really easy to get around on. The carve is quite thin, and access is not an issue at all. I can't complain about the condition as it is excellent, but more importantly, it plays great, sounds incredible, and is structurally flawless. I even fixed the broken latch with a rivet, so all is right with the World once again. Absolutely no regrets about buying this unusual bass, and now I don't have to cry about having sold my old 7 string ever again. I did not realize it when i bought it, but the bass is a 32" scale. The shorter scale makes it super easy to play, and there is no loss of a massively powerful low end. I set it up with my favorite tape wound strings with a bare core 18 for the high F, and it is incredibly well balanced and responsive. It is exactly what I have been hoping it would be, and a lot more. All my fears are long gone, and it is just fretless 7 string bliss from here on out.

This just proves to me there is no challenge the Mothership can't meet and surpass. I wouldn't know how to play ONE note on that (exaggeration, but you know) ... Wow. You guys can make space shuttles if needed.
