Hi everyone,
I'm realy interested to buy this alembic persuader from 1987 for 1500€ (1488$).
But my biggest concerns is a neck crack, glued by a luthier.
The guy who sells it, tell me that a knot in the wood and the string tensions did that. He did not play with it or put new strings since the neck repair.
So, i'm here to get some advices and opinion, if it's a good deal or not.
Here some pictures to help you guys, and i'm waiting on new high quality pictures from the seller later today.
Thank you.

Nice bass. Glue is stronger than wood and if the repair is done right it should be fine. If not, well...
A neck cracked instrument can be a fine player but it is going to be worth less money.

looks like the luthier did a good job. String it and play it. If it feels right and sounds right, then there is nothing wrong with it. ACTUALLY, that neck area is now fortified. You don't have to worry about the head stock snapping again as gtrguy mentioned; glue is stronger than wood.
