Title: What is my bass equivalent to?
Post by: Edward Kocol (bapu) on December 31, 2002, 12:52:41 PM
I have a 1976 Serial # 263 bass. The body looks like a series I but the controls are laid out like a series II.

Here is a picture for Mica to look at and give me the real skinny on it.(http://club.alembic.com/Images/393/2849.jpg)

Looks like a Series I to me. There are no CVQ (Continuously Variable Q) controls, yours appears to have the 3 poistion Q switches, which would make it a Series I.

The electronics are Series I and are arranged typically for a bass of its age.

We'll investigate the instrument file for you soon to see what else there is to know about this bass.
