The bass was brought in twice in 2004 for a battery issue, but each time it was the battery was dead, and couldn't find a defect in the electronics. That's the only time we heard from this bass

Wow, the birthday is one day off from my own (17th).  ;D I actually ended up selling this one shortly after I purchased it and bought BeenDown's Distillate Exploiter. The Elan is a monster bass, and the new owner was very happy, but it wasn't the right one for me.
