Can you get Alembic Supreme Polish in the UK?  If not, what is the alternative?.

I’ve found that if one is looking to polish the wood finish, just about any non petroleum distillate guitar polish will work satisfactorily (I’ve used Martin guitar polish for years) so I’ve never ordered the Alembic polish. However, it’s only $15.00 US and comes in a bottle that shouldn’t cost too much to ship so if you can’t find it in the UK ordering from Alembic isn’t going to cost you that much more.

I expect they could ship you some. It probably isn't a prohibited substance.

I have used this Meguiars product for years on lacquer finished guitars. I have wiped down my newer Alembic basses with it, but not the older ones with the matte/satiny finish. I kinda' like them like they are. But this stuff is great for getting smudgy, fingerprints, etc off, and restoring a nice gloss.

No idea on availability in the U.K.

I’ve had a bottle for a while but recently used the Alembic Supreme Polish for the first time and was thrilled with the results. By a polish no less!:)

Greg, I use the Quik Detailer, too. When I get a new instrument, if the finish isn't too cracked, I use Turtle Wax .

Thanks all - I should have added that it for the Orion 4 which has a polyurethane satin finish - any difference?

I know this is a polish thread, but just wondering about cleaners.

I have a non-alembic with oil finish that needs a good scrubbing and cleaning.  Any suggestions?  Should I just use soap and water?  Should I use an over the counter cleaner?  Suggestions appreciated!

That guy just barely dug into the pickups and pots.  You gotta really scrub and spend some time to get those suds inside the pickups and pots to really get them clean.

Of course, after this process, I wouldn't plug in without a wireless!

So what you are all saying is I should just submerge it in a tub of boiling water for about 20 minutes (lol)  :)
