Over the last 2 years, all of our sons, all of our D-I-Ls, 3 of 6 grandkids, 1 of Her sisters & the B-I-L, one of Her brothers, most of our friends, etc., etc., have been infected, but we have avoided it.
Yesterday we got back from 6 days in AZ with both Her sisters, 1 brother, and their spouses (their step-mom's 90th b-day); this AM we went to the emergency room w/symptoms and we are positive. She is fairly worse off than I (no doubt due to all my years of clean living), but they expect full recovery for both.
She got antibodies (no antivirals due to Her psych meds) & I got Paxlovid.
This sucks.
Peter (who will respect the rules and not go into his greatly-desired rant about who's to blame and why........)

I do hope for a quick and full recovery for both of you. Do you have someone to do grocery shopping, etc?

Thanks, Dave.
Yeah, 2 of the 3 stores we buy food at have online ordering both curb-side pick-up & delivery. My concern is that I finished every book I had out from the library, a new one waiting for me,and 2 or 3 more ordered - but I can't go in the library to get them! I figure I'll get a friend to grab my card off the grill & leave the books there; in the meantime, I'm having another go at Phil's Searching For The Sound - which, as Bill will tell you, is one the two best of the genre (the other being Levon's This Wheel's On Fire).
Peter (who is oft amazed at closely his & Bill's thoughts run to parallel)

Bummer! Hope you and Mrs. Cowboy recover quickly and fully.
Ever check out Kindle Unlimited? $10 a month for unlimited books plus magazines too. Works on a Kindle reader, an iPad, even a PC. You can adjust the layout, font type, font size. Not a bad deal of you read a lot. And the first 30 days are free, so you could use it while you quarantine, then cancel.
As for our similarities, hey, you obviously are a gentleman and a scholar with impeccable taste!

Well wishes to both of you, Coz.

My son went to the wine country in northern CA just recently where he got down on one knee and gave his lady a ring. Jump ahead one week and guess what? Both came back to New York positive. He’s compromised and had a bit of a rough time. Still no taste or smell. She’s fine, though. Yea I know kinda sucks.

It's strange, given the amount of time I spend here and on similar fora (well, sortta similar; this place is one of a kind!), as well as Dream Guitars, Elderly, Reverb, etc., but I can't even read a newspaper on a screen; I need a book in my hand.
Peter (who carries a flip-phone with texting disabled. Now get off my lawn!)

I hope you both feel better and recover quickly!

I hope you have a swift recovery.
I agree about reading. 30+ years in the computer industry and I still want paper over a screen. Oh and yellow highlighters. IMO it is really the only way to go when reviewing documents as I can flip back and forth faster than a screen. The highlighting also stays on the correct line when using paper. I can't say so much for the screen especially after the whole thing has been painted yellow.

Hoping the best for both of you. These can be such trying times.

Hey Peter, hope you have a quick recovery!

We are much better today; my main symptom now is a certain furriness in the brain pan - which eases overnight & grows worse as the day goes on (fortunately, I have a certain level of expertise at dealing the world from a furry-brained state.......).

Glad to hear you are both doing better!
