Post by: Hermann Eckholt on June 26, 2022, 08:06:20 AM
Hello Alembic friends. I need for sale now my wonderful old Alembic Serie 1 bass long scale with a wonderful Amaranth wood top, all original, all works perfect, the pickup's are fantastic in balance. straight neck and good Frets, the bass comes with flight case. i take it from the only orig. owner he buy it in 1976. Ser. number around 500. write me and i can send you lot of details pics.  i have my other main bass, my lovely Medium Scale Serie 1 bass from 1979. this is my main bass, i think, the other one must play it much more. here in Europe i need 6900 Euro and ship extra. for US i need complete incl. ship to you $ 7500. i think this is a fair price for a old Serie 1 bass without any neck break or other damage. a perfect old bass. thanks and all best....

Wise decision unless you absolutely need the cash.  Just about everyone who sells when it not absolutely necessary (unless its to purchase another Alembic) later regrets their decision.

Agreed, i put considered selling one of my basses years back, decided against it and it's now my main gigging bass.

I’ve never heard of anybody “regretting” keeping their gear.

I once was considering selling my Epic but my wife talked me out of it. A wiser woman I could never have found.
