There's an item on Yahoo! News today that Sotheby's will be auctioning off John Entwistle memorabilia, including a number of guitars.

No details on the Sotheby's site yet, but this will be quite something. As you probably know, not only was Entwistle a giant Alembic player, but he had an extraordinary instrument collection. In it's early glory, it was visible in the Success Story section of The Kids Are Alright (this is REQUIRED viewing for anybody that frequents this club!) and in a number of photo features in Guitar Player over the years (light organ Rickenbacker, anyone?).
Although a couple of Entwistle Alembics came up for auction last year, I would be suprised if we didn't see some sterling-silver spiderwebs for sale this year...
