Looks like a Kawai.  The headstock is wrong, the truss rod (should be 2) on an Alembic is near the 24th fret, not the nut.  Very suspect to me, but if someone hacked up an Alembic, I suppose it’s possible, but my gut is telling me it’s a Kawai.

I'll guess Aria Pro II line... there's a buncha' different models. Looks like somebody had a gleam in their eye and was about to do a little reshaping of this one to a single-cut.


I seem to remember that Alembic sold them activators for some Pro II SB basses... never heard of any guitar connections though. I can't think of any that would fit those routs.

Whatever it is the body looks like it has been modified at least once based on the sloppy work around the neck pickup, control holes and backside electronics access hole.
