if i were to spend big $USD on a new bass it would have to have a top like that. 😎

Whoever owns Station Music must have some serious resources behind them. I don’t think there are many shops that have an inventory of both new and used Alembic basses as well as other manufacturers wares that come close to matching them. If I’m ever in Bavaria again, I will definitely need to check them out.

This one https://reverb.com/item/33903645-alembic-series-i-k-body-birdseye-maple is more my style. Except for the LED's. Sorry Mica. ::) ;D

I like the other one as well.
Looks a bit more non-spectacular at first sight
but when you look closer the buckeye and the resin
is really gorgeous, especially around the pickups.
To my taste the purple resin could be bit stronger
in color but anyway a gorgeous bass.

Since we are daydreaming at Station Music, this would be my first choice

Jazzy,
well I would also prefer one of the K Series 1.
They all look gorgeous and are 5K cheaper

I haven't visited their website for quite a while. Impressive as always. There must be a fair number of well-heeled bass players in Europe, it seems. They had a graphite-neck series II exploiter listed for a long time, looks like it finally sold. I tried making a play for it but no give on the price so Bis später, homie!

I kind of like this one…

Is the price difference between the dealers price and the Reverb price
just the fees for Reverb?
If so, wow, nearly 3K on fees?!?

I think Reverb fees are 6-7%

I’ve purchased both my new Alembics from Will Gunn when he was in Iowa. Both were customs and I received a nice discount on the list price for both. Plus, Will is extremely knowledgeable and a really nice guy with whom to deal. I wouldn’t think of dealing with anyone else for a new Alembic today though I’d love to window-shop at Station Music.

Jazzy, that’s the bass that made me think of saving up at Station Music since the first SC I played in December! Lol
-
In the past, they had a 2nd hand/demo Series II medium scale with Point shape. A Mark King replica according to description.
My dream bass

Lothar at Station has excellent taste and until Eddie's Music started carrying Series I and II instruments, they were the only place on Earth to stock new ones.
-
Yes, excellent taste indeed!
And glad he’s in Europe!
-
Indeed!
Lothar is THE Alembic man in Europe!!

Very, VERY nice staff: I’d been speaking to Mr. Robin Wieszt over there and he was great.
Sooooo tempting, if I had the cash! Lol
