That's a super-nice guitar for not a lot of cash, especially considering the online marketplace silly-season happening now. I thought really hard about this one a while back, but another guitar had caught my attention and just wouldn't let go. I have found Skylark electronics are very user-friendly. Every time I pick it up there's a new something to hear.

Timing is everything. I bought this from the mothership while I was waiting for a custom to be made. So now I'm passing on some items as my collection got out of hand over the years. Patiently waiting for my latest child to be finished and hopefully being able to help out someone looking for something at a good price.

Hi Danno,
I’ve seen Skylarks described as bright. Do you find it to be really crunchy bright or can the tone be smoothed out a bit with the filters to be a little warmer?
Also, can you email me using the email envelope icon under my name?
Thanks,
Rob

Yes, there is on and bright and you can adjust the briteness via the pot in the cavity. So you should be able to dial in the tone you want.
-
Thanks, Danno, appreciate it, very nice guitar

I was telling Rob, my Lil' Darlin' guitar has Skylark controls, and while my pickup config. is a bit different, these electronics are just perfect. Those [OFF-ON-BRITE] switches take a minute for us bass players to acclimate to... I wanted it to act like a Q-switch, and it just isn't. The trick is to turn the switch(es) to brite, then dial the filter in. And of course if needed, tweak the trimpots. I found my sizzle-zone in just a few hours. I played it side-by-side with his old Series I for several months. You could certainly hear the lineage.
That red guitar though... my, my, my... Scarlet Begonias tucked into her curls. Definitely not like other girls.

Hello Sunil, it is at the moment. A very beautiful guitar, but I find longer scales with wider necks to be more comfortable for me. With Alembic’s sometimes you have to buy and try to see if it fits :)
It’s at a slightly higher price on Reverb (a couple hundred bucks) to cover their fees.
