No affiliation, thought someone here might find it interesting. Especially those waxy pickups! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I like everything about that bass, except for the long scale. If I ever got twitchy, and sent my Persuader 5-string home to the Mothership for the spa treatment, I would be very tempted to have it resprayed in that same burst finish.
*and of course I would have to have it upgraded with waxy pickups! Means Wide AXY maybe?

Could be a fat-fingered typo hitting the W next to the A on whatever passes for a keyboard in this here day and age. Or W for wide aperture - as in Fatboy.
-
I think the store guys got that off the build sheet, I suspect when this bass was built that meant wide AXY, as in wide enough for a 5 or 6 string bass. Wide aperture was still a few years down the road for AXYs.

WAXY was the name we used before AXY56.

Sometimes it's a good thing these basses that tick the right boxes for me, come up for sale in the states and not the UK. :-)
