Title: 1977 Series I bass on Reverb
Post by: Songdog on January 13, 2022, 09:13:01 AM
Alembic Series I Electric Bass Guitar (1977), ser. #77-929, black road case. $9,500 + $150 Shipping

There's a long description (which could use some paragraph breaks). It includes: "It shows some fairly heavy finish checking, including minor flaking on the back of the neck but not a lot of actual play wear."

Seems like kind of a high price if the finish is literally flaking off, especially compared to some of the other Series I basses listed.

Easier to read on their web site.

Nice looking bass but IMHO a little pricey

Description says "It was recorded as originally made for a customer named Rothschild" etc. Funny how things can be interpreted by a seller.

Also says, "While no longer as fashionable as it was in the late '70s, ..." Too funny!

Rothschild was a distributor for Alembic back in the 70's.
