Title: winter projects on hold
Post by: BeenDown139 on December 04, 2021, 01:48:14 PM
i' ve got a number of winter projects planned: solve the electronic problems in the exploiter, re-learn "tommy" by the who, make a mono/stereo switchover box for my bass rig, etc.  i plan those types of projects for when it's 5° outside and snow piled on the ground.  the problem is it hasn't snowed in denver since march.  today i put on the shorts and t-shirt and went for a nice bike ride on a 65° day.  haven't worn a winter jacket yet this season.  hard to be stuck indoors here hunched over a workbench when it's like springtime out.  this ain't right.  just sayin' 🧐

And Hawaii is currently under a blizzard warning.   It’s a good thing there’s no such thing as climate change or we all might be in real trouble!   Now about those forrest fires started by Jewish space lasers ...

Ah, yes re-learning Tommy. That was my COVID project. I learned the Live at Leeds version. It saved my sanity through those rough times. It was so much fun dialing in all those different tones on my Epic. Good luck with all your projects.

Our covid project was the new bathroom and renovated laundry on our ground floor. Thanks to the “Atmospheric River” that project is now “tearing out. lol the renovations on the ground floor”.

I'd never heard the term "atmospheric river" before then, but it described that amount of rain perfectly; might as well have been a river dropping from the sky...

started the day with high hopes. put my winter jacket on for the first time since last february.  saw a coupla flakes (of snow) on the way to work.  lasted for about 3 minutes, now it looks like the cloud cover is breaking up.  i think we're at 232 days without measurable snow here in the mile high.  strange days have found us.  indeed.

Yep - we got a pic of our grandsons in Denver standing in the snow this morning.

It's still nowhere what we need here in Colorado. I guess my latest winter project was having COVID. Luckily, no hospitals involved. I was fully vaccinated and boosted, so please be careful out there!
