Apparently you're not at the other shop you mentioned, and neither is the bass. I don't think you're doing the other shop's reputation any good. The rules are quite clear, no commercial postings.

I'm sorry - I didn't mean this to be a "commercial posting." I wanted to call attention to this item on Reverb because it looks like a good deal, and someone on this forum might be interested. I have no connection at all with Reverb or the seller of this bass.

I mentioned a particular local boutique guitar shop because I have a nice gift certificate there and I'm hoping they'll come up with an Alembic bass I want to buy. If that was inappropriate, I apologize sincerely for my misunderstanding. I'll certainly avoid comments like this in the future.

Adriaan. As a moderator can you clarify what you viewed as inappropriate about songdogs posting? I dont view it as any different that many of the postings that are placed here. He did mention a shop he was working with to try to obtain an Alembic but given that he indicates he's not affiliated with the shop in WVa selling this bass I'm unsure why it's considered a commercial posting.

I'm curious too.   i did not see anything wrong with posting in the section that the post was in.  Seen on EBay, elsewhere, etc....

To be clear, the original post by Songdog was longer, and repeated information posted elsewhere that has no bearing on the instrument for sale that is the subject of this thread.
