Just checking in with the Mothership.......USA Today reported roads around San Rafael were under 2 FEET of water and Mt. Tam received 6" of rain?
Up here in WA state not so much rain but a LOT of wind. Power out most of yesterday and I'm currently receiving 36mph gusts of wind....I'm expecting the lights to go out again soon.
I know wood floats.....but Tailpieces and Bridges don't.....everyone safe & dry there?
Here's hoping your thirsty aquifers and Mt. Shasta store as much agua as possible!

i lived in seattle from 1997 to 2006. gotta love those seattle windstorms. saw them snap power poles like matchsticks along 169. one lifted the roof right offa my hot tub cabana and deposited it more or less in 1 piece in the neighbor's yard. i wised up after the 2nd or 3rd multi-day power outage and bought a generator and transfer switch so at least i could heat the house.

Lots of wind and rain yesterday. My greenhouse almost blew away, but no complaints, we sure do need this!

We got a video of the grandkids in Sacramento wading in the driveway; was worried you guys might be sliding downhill, Bill.

The press is calling it a "bomb cyclone".

While it was incredibly wet (my rain gauge read 8.67 inches!) we managed to not be flooded and the kids all went to school today. But that was a very unusual storm indeed!

It’s still going on! Power just went out again for the third day in a row! This is unprecedented for us. We usually only lose power 1-2 times a year!
Authorities blaming time of year. Still too many leaves on the trees causing the branches to break off more easily. Oh well, I have a gas hot water heater so at least I have a hot shower still.

We’re up on Galiano Island - we got that windstorm too! Lost power for a while. Wish was so strong it sucked objects out an open window! Not as bad as 2018 though - power was out for almost 2 weeks that time! Stay safe everyone, somehow!
