Very sad.  A great singer/songwriter.  Beautiful voice.  Here she is doing a duet with another recent loss, John Prine:

May the Four Winds Blow You Safely Home

Well, crap.
John & Nanci are gone - and yet Gene Simmons & Ted Nugent keep on going.   What kind of world is this, anyway??

Nanci came to Glasgow in 2009 for the annual Celtic Connections festival. We saw her in the company of some stellar musicians from both sides of the water and she was phenomenal. A sad loss.
