Hey all, I'm doing an experiment. I have been interested in getting a 32'' scale 5 string tuned EADGC.
32'' 5 sting Alembics are PRETTY rare, let alone the fact that I need the "comfort" string spacing, so it's either a custom job or a very long wait. And a lot of money either way. That being the case, I thought I would start with something low cost to see how much I end up using it. So I bought a Chinese made Warwick Corvette. It has dual Jazz pickups (both bridge position size).
I'm wondering if Alembic JZ pickups will cover the width of the strings on a 5er? Total E to C width is about 2.625'' at the saddles. Also, do the JZ sets come as two sizes like a Fender?
Thanks in advance!

The regular 4-string ones won't reliably work with that string spread - there's a risk the outside strings could waver in and out of the magnetic field. We have made 5-string ones, but I'm not sure I've seen any since we moved! I'll look around for them and let you know.

Thanks Mica, that's what I figured. If you find any, please let me know! I'd bet that may be a popular item.
