It's never fun news to give or receive, but in addition to just the passing of time and the normal increases that we planned for in labor, parts and raw materials, we have another contributor to the price increase: COVID 19.
Who can plan for that, but it is a reality. Luckily at Alembic since we are almost entirely our own parts supplier at least we HAVE parts. Many builders, even major ones, are not as prepared or as lucky.
We have kept all our staff working and healthy...no COVID 19 here so far...Knock on wood.
With continuing to make our own parts and maintain our staff you can be assured that every Alembic will live up to our reputation and your expectation of excellence.
Price increases will vary by model, woods, labor & electronics involved. The spread is between 12-20% and prices will be published on this thread later this week.
Orders placed by 7-31-21 will be at current pricing.
Thank you all for the support and confidence you have given us over the past 52 years. Together we've built a lot of beautiful instruments and we will continue to to do just that to send music into the world...Lord knows they need it!
