Not gig material but held it's own in a small folk session. Played my Fender ABG through it against 2 melodians, fiddle and acoustic guitar. 3 watts for amp and 6 when using the cab.!!!

Wow!

Ah yes, the amazing little Blackstar Fly 3! I have the guitar version. The only mini amp that’s a real amp! I keep mine above my work bench. Not only great for testing guitars, but it also doubles as a decent mini stereo system with my Pono player plugged into it.

I've got one of those little Danelectro Honeytone amps in my service truck. It sucks, but it beats having nuthin' in there. ;D

Bill brought his Blackstar Fly 3 the last time he passed through here; solid state, battery powered, 3 watt 1X3" box that, IIRC, fits in the pocket of his gigbag. I admit I was skeptical when he pulled it out, and more so when he told me what it was - but I was well and truly blown away by it! Wonderful piece of equipment; playing his Alembicized Tele through it almost made me sound good.........
Peter (who is avidly watching MF's "Stupid Deal Of The Day" for the next time they give a big discount on it - especially the version with the sugar skull on the red grill)

What are the dimensions of the cabinet? I have been looking for a small light setup to take with the wife and myself when we are traveling with the travel trailer where storage space is at a premium.
-
About 6.5” wide, 4” deep, and 4 3/4” in height. That’s for the amp. The optional powered extension speaker has the same dimensions.

Thanks Bill.

I used one of the Marshall Mini amps when I was touring, and made a cutout in my flight case to hold it. I used it for practicing in my hotel/motel room or backstage. I was using a guitar and never tried it with bass. Maybe I should give it a try.

I have a similar Marshall and a mini Blonde Piggy-Back Fender. They are mere toys compared to the Blackstar.

Honeytone? Did you & your Pop build that one, Greg?
And you put me in mind of a Zits comic. One panel; Walt (the dad, for those who don't know the strip) is saying to teen son Jeremy "No, I remember there being thousands of songs; it's only classic rock radio that thinks there were only twelve.)
Peter (who believes one can find most of the wisdom one needs in comic strips - and not just The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers - though that is, of course Numero Uno)

Nah, but it was a gag gift (for that reason) from one of our customers who has Honeytone #18. ;D
