I recently picked up an early 70's Gibson SB 350 short scale bass for not too much money. My gawd, it is a punchy sounding little thing. Way better sounding than the Mudbucker EB ones, which I have owned. The SB 350 and SB 450 long scale have unique mini bass humbuckers that I don't think were used on any other Gibson. The only other short scale bass I have played that I liked is a Series instrument. Maybe a new Epiphone or Gibson EB case will fit it...

Thank you. Made out of maple stained to look like mahogany. I think these might be the 'missing link' to the Gibson's Ripper/Grabber line.
