Hello, I've had this Alembic for many years. It is a lefty Distillate. Any info on this bass would be appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome Zoomer. I'd love to see a picture of your Distillate. I have a very close relative to it; #81D-1986 USA is currently in my care. I haven't had it quite as long as you have had yours, but I have enjoyed every minute. Here is the Showcase Thread on it. https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=21861.15

I'll take some pictures and post them soon. Love the grain on your bass.

I found the file for 81D1984, and I hope it's actually your bass - it doesn't say left handed in the file.
top: Bocate
accent: none
body: Mahogany
neck: Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 32" medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: mother of pearl
pickups: AXY4
electronics: "Distillate" volume, fitler, Q-switch, bass cut/flat/boost, treble cut/flat/boost, 4-position rotary pickup selector, mono output
originally made for: not recorded
birthday: December 7, 1981
In 1997 the bass was registered in Massachusetts.
If you can post a picture of your bass it would be great to help confirm this is the right record. Thanks!

First of all thank you Mica for doing the research and responding to my request. You and Alembic continue to be the class of the music instrument industry.
I have attached a front view but having trouble attaching any other photo ( to large). I will continue to work on it.
Again thanks for the info, I did buy it from someone in Mass. early 2000's
