Title: Rob's Rogue Fretless
Post by: rv_bass on May 03, 2021, 06:00:58 AM
Putting this idea here for future reference...

Rogue body shape
 fretless (unlined)
 Five string
 Long Scale (34")
 Orion peg head
Peg head veneers front and back: Indian rosewood
 Tummy contour
 Satin finish
Neck: flamed maple with two walnut and one ebony laminates
 Red side LED markers
 Mahogany body
Indian rosewood top with maple veneer underneath
 Sustain block
Tailpiece shape undecided (bird, bar, other?)
Chrome hardware (maybe, maybe brass, maybe other?)
 Anniversary electronics with master volume
Five-pin for power and stereo output (I already have the cable and DS-5)
 Mono 1/4” jack
 AXY neck pickup
 Fat Boy bridge pickup
 Case

Maybe no 1/4” jack and no batteries, just five pin for power and output like 80-1681

Greg, thanks for the suggestion, something to consider.  I have used fretless basses with side LEDs at the fret mark and have become comfortable with that, but something to think about. :)

Nice!  Why satin finish?

Thanks,David.  I like the natural wood look and feel of a satin finish, but I don’t know what satin on rosewood would look like, so something to explore.
