Title: Elan 5 for sale.

This bass belonged to my husband (original owner) and sad to say that he passed away in December 2020. Being not a musician I would like to see this instrument go to someone who appreciates the quality of the Alembic bass. I had the instrument checked out at the Alembic factory and was told that it is in excellent condition.

Some particulars:
34” long scale/ ebony fingerboard/pearloid plastic oval inlays/flame maple top/ walnut pinstripe/maple core/back/ 7-piece neck maple and purpleheart, 2 WAXY pickups with Elan electronics, Cherry sun gloss finish. Hard shell case included. Asking $4500 or best offer plus shipping.

Hi Zabbie50, welcome to this forum and I'm sorry to hear of your sad loss. Your husband chose well with this bass it is really a stunner. I hope you find the right buyer for it.

It is a beautiful instrument, and your late husband clearly had wonderful taste in bass guitars. Thank You for trying to place it with another who will appreciate it. I hope someone does the same for me one day.

i will say that the tone of these maple core Elans is nothing short of outstanding.  Good luck with your sale.
