I have wanted an Alembic bass ever since I had seen those Stanley Clarke magazine advertising in the 80’s.
You never see them where I live and until now I had never been in a position to afford one. But as luck would have it I came across two used Alembics in a local music store. I jumped at the chance to own them... to say I am over the moon with these basses would be an understatement.

One is an ‘99 Alembic Orion , the other one is a ‘12 Mark King Standard 5

Dreams do come true...

A strategic move to start with two... but make sure you keep some room for the others you wil inevitable acquire in the future.

I got my Epic the same way. Walked into my local music store to by strings. It was hanging on the wall with a sign ‘This Week’s Special $1000’. Couldn’t get to the bank fast enough.
