Title: Heritage > Great American (insurance)
Post by: cje on March 04, 2021, 07:00:45 AM
I received an email today that my musical instrument insurance is transferring from Heritage to Great American.

I'm curious if anyone here knows about Great American (I only know the Music Hall ;) ), and if there's any general concern in our community about this transfer. I assume many of us received the same email.

Thanks.

Hmmm. I haven't received anything as yet, but I recently had Heritage Insurance draw up a policy for my collection. It's through The Hartford, if that matters. As long as it's Apples : Apples, I'll probably be okay with it.

I received the email as well.  Heritage services the account and a separate company provides the insurance, in my case it was Travelers, but looks like they are changing to Great American.  I’m hoping not much difference, will have to see if/how the cost differs.

Interesting.  Today I received my new policy, that I applied for last week, from Heritage / Hartford.

Well, I guess it seems that Heritage is still servicing the account then. My insurance company was also Travelers. Hopefully the coverage is equivalent. if Heritage remains the servicer (right word??), then things should be fine. Heritage customer service has always been pretty good.

I still have not received any similar notice. Was thinking about giving my agent a call next week and ask. Just curious more than anything.
