Title: RIP Lawrence Ferlinghetti

Wow. Hard to believe he was still alive, let alone take in the fact that he’s dead. What a great voice he was.

101 years old!  Can't complain.  He was right there at the very beginning of the entire S.F. scene.  You can draw a direct line from City Lights Bookstore to the Beats, the Hippies, the Grateful Dead, and our own beloved instruments.

May The Four Winds Blow You Safely Home.

Just saw the news this morning.  He and City Lights are iconic; and I am very appreciative of his contribution to our history.
