Title: Alembic Series 1 - Darling Dear by Jackson 5 Bass Cover
Post by: geepee on February 15, 2021, 02:52:38 PM
Hi folks, who here digs James Jamerson and his lines? All I'll say is WOW, he was a genius. The lines are relentless!

I've recorded a little bass cover which I'd like to share, please let me know what you think.

Alembic '81 Series 1, with a Hotone Ampero Multi FX pedal. Interestingly enough, it has an F-2B preset in it and it's scarily accurate.

Thanks for watching,

GP

George, really well done.  I enjoy your vids, but, wow, this is really outstanding.
Thanks.

Thanks so much folks! I highly recommend 'Standing in the Shadows of Motown' for those Motown chops!

Hope you're all alright!

Great job ! I noticed from the way you’re looking down, you were probably reading the transcription from the Dr Licks book. To make it totally funk-alicious, try the foam rubber in front of the bridge trick.  Jameson only plucked with his right forefinger, I hear.  Nastily difficult.
