Not sure what this would qualify as. Epic, excel with signature electronics or maybe just as described, a custom?https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184581721852 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184581721852)

As the group has discussed in the past it is sometimes hard to determine how to classify Alembic instruments with the ability to mix and match so many features. When the body is one of the standard styles I will usually call an instrument by that style and call out the electronics package if different. If the body is not standard for the model I tend to use the electronics package as the standard for determining what to call it. Then there is the serial number designation but again that is no guarantee as sometimes an instrument is ordered as a specific model due to pricing specials but has no resemblance to the standard body/electronics type. For something like this where both the body and electronics are atypical I would guess custom is the best term to use.

I was looking for something else in the Showcase Threads, and happened to see an almost twin to this one in an older post. I'd seen it before, and assumed it was the same bass, but nope... different one.

The serial number shows that this build started out as an Epic.
Here's a fretless I used to own that started out as an Orion:

I like both of those!
