Cheap Spoiler in Japan on EBay. I just saw the listing and know nothing more.

actually not a bad price even after you add $335 for shipping and whatnot. but as i've said before, i wouldn't touch anything from japan on ebay with a 10-foot pole. give it a couple of days and you'll see the same base listed from 5 different sellers at 5 different prices.

Yes, buyer beware certainly applies.

One of the benefits of membership in this Board is that it is a truly international one. There are a few active members here who reside in Japan, even more if expanded to include the Pacific Rim nations. If one were interested in an instrument over there, reaching out to someone with local knowledge of what shop actually has the instrument would be simpler and safer. It might also help with the language barrier.
No, I would not use ebay to buy an Alembic, especially not internationally. I do however enjoy that it alerts me to their availability. I like to... browse.

There is a Series 1 in Japan I am interested in. Busted and then repaired headstock. Not Ebay, but a dealer. Buying from there worries me. There is of course the language barrier, but the bass is expensive and and unknown. So just like you. I browse.
