That didn’t last long...

Maybe It's one of the guys on the facebook alembic groups. Someone on there was stressing how rare these are used and that he let one go a few years back so I sent him the link. But at that price, which is fair, I'm not surprised it went quick.

There’s an F-1X up on reverb right now.
Bill, tgo

Being sold by our favorite CO flipper...
Still glad I was able to snag an SF-2 at an amazing price a few years ago, took me less 10 seconds to realize it would be stupid to pass it up since it was a "buy it now" sale, no bidding, no haggling. One of those instances of being in the right place at exactly the right time.

Is that a transitional F-2B? I forget if they looked like that for a while
-
No - that's an early one with the pilot light. The knobs are non-original.

Sexy! That's got to sound incredible.

Am I the only one who wants to see that cabinet that stack of goodies is sitting on? ::)

Everything shown has its own story.
There are a few music/gear-related Easter eggs hidden in the picture.
(I’m fairly confident that some will be easily spotted, while others might remain unnoticed).
We recently had to sell a few of our Bag Ends - the remaining 3 were too sentimental to part with. The 2x15 was purchased by my husband and I during a trip to the Serpent Mound Native Burial Site in Ohio. The speakers were indented when purchased, but it still sounds great.
We’ve got enough JBLs hidden around the house to replace as needed for years to come. It is quite enjoyable to play the F2B into the 2300 with JBLs. ;)
P.S. The only thing D-180 about the D-180 is the case and transformers. It’s basically now more like a 140 watt octal B-15.

I like the leather jacket, had one in the 70s. :)
-
Ahh. I thought something was familiar, and couldn't quite place it... but it was there, rattling around in my rusty old memory banks. Welcome back Jen and Chris. ;D

Thanks for the pic Jen.
I see a DarkStar pup. Is that a stereo bass?

Nice Tractor bass!

That photo of Bodega brings back memories.
We miss Bodega Dearly...
Definitely “the one that got away”.
We dream of reuniting with that bass one day. ;-)
Surprisingly, the LAST “Easter Egg” we thought anyone would catch was the FIRST one anyone noticed (though it would have been a one-in-a-million chance to actually guess the full significance).
•The Leather Jacket was gifted to us by Carl Thompson when Chris and I were frequently visiting his Brooklyn shop (Chris was apprenticing him and I got to spend time listening to his incredible stories).
It is the one he wore when taking pictures for the “Ten Million Dollar Bass”.
One day he just said, “Try this on”.
Chris did, and though it was somewhat too big for him, Carl said something to the effect that it fit Chris better than him, and that we should just have it.
•Yes, the Jazz Bass is wired in stereo.
The Bisonic has Volume and Tone.
The Bridge pickup goes straight to an independent output jack.
In Chris’s words, “That bass is a strange beast, and nothing sounds quite like it.”
I’m sure a few super sleuths could pick out the few remaining gems or oddities.
Thanks for the interest!
Warmly,
Jen T.

I like the early F2B. I wonder what the serial number is? From what I have heard the pilot light went to an LED after serial number 144.
-
Here is a photo of the serial # :D

I see an Alembic G&G case peaking through the gap between the speaker cabs at the bottom :)
