That's outstanding. ;D ;D ;D

If that is a joke it's literally gone completely over my head. ??? :-\

Grateful Dead humor Jazzy... lyric to "He's Gone" includes the phrase "...steal the face right offa' your head..." Gary Larson's cartoon hunters have encountered a Stealie, or Steal Your Face. Gotta' be careful with them things. ;)

Love it!

Thanks Ed, I will have to check out that song.

One of my favorites to play along with. Fun little tricks with measure. Here's Dead & Co.
Cartoonist, Gary Larson has been retired for several years now, recently started issuing a limited run of new funnies. His take on things was often ironic, and literal. I know some folks, -my Mom is one- who just didn't get why it was so funny. And that's okay... the world would be boring if we all thought the same things. I think he must be a musician too, from all the cartoons with music humor within.

Why listen to a Grateful Dead tribute band when you can hear the real McCoy!

Just noticed Phil has a Tribute shaped bass like Jerry's. I didn't realised that shape went back so far for basses. I saw one on the forum in recent years and thought that was the first.

Ahh, the Irwin bass... two P pickups. I wonder what ever became of it? Perhaps it will resurface in a couple years too.
I just try to take it all in Bill, let the subconscious sort it out when I'm learning one. "He's Gone" is a great (Grate?) tune, one of my favorites. I hope to play it with you guys out there one day. :)

I wonder if that notion had anything influence on the scene in Silence of the lambs when Hannibal wears the guards face.
-
I never made that connection before! After that happened in the movie, he was gone!

I must note that the cartoon is doctored; the Stealie is covering another flower, upon which sits a butterfly - frothing at the mouth. The actual caption is "“Johnson, back off! It’s an Armandia lidderdalii, all right—but it’s rabid!”
