Any advantages to adding Series I pickups to Anaversery Electronics?

It's not a viable option. Without the Series I/II electronics, the Series I/II pickups will not cancel hum.  
 
You can use the FatBoy pickups, which are AXYs wound on Series I/II magnets. These sound more like the Series I/II than the standard AXY or MXY pickup.
