Fine with me! Unfortunately though, his collection isn't complete without an Alembic! ;D
I'm more of an 8-string guy myself - an Alembic 8-string is one of my dream basses. Can't remember if I've seen an Alembic 12er?

10 strings on two fretboards guy you are 8) and I concur, not complete!

I had a short scale Hamer B12S for a while. Really cool beast and a little different than an 8 string. They definitely have a "thing" about them. Unfortunately, while I'm usually fine with short scales, the way they set the neck way into the body gave it too much of a cramped feeling. I get it with regard to balance (there's a whole lot of headstock and tuners!), but it felt too much like a guitar, so I sold it.

i once had a medium scale series I that i never bonded with and now i realize that was probably why. the strings were just way too bendy. my fingers like something that puts up a fight.

Also expanded my Collection, I'm at one now :-)
This is a Korean Hamer CH12 I bought last year, mostly out of curiosity and the Metallica connection (Newsted used the US version on the black album)

Your picture isn’t showing proper for me... ?

It was a huge picture, thanx for the heads up. I reuploaded it in a smaller size, better now?
-
Yes - thanks.
Looks like there is not a lot of space between that many strings!

Wherever I May Roam, right? I'm not a big metal guy, but that's one of my favorite "band on the road" songs.

Stringspacing is tight :-) Here are some more pics:

I haven't played it much, did a vid for my Metallica tribute and almost able to play along with "Jeremy" of Pearl Jam :-)
The nail of my fretting finger often slightly touches the thick string above it, causing a sort of ugly fretbuzz effect. If I ever get serious with this, I must practice my fingersetting drastically.
Here's the vid I did, there's also an "Isolated 12 string bass" vid on the channel. (sarcastic vid, cause I only play open strings about 8 times in a 7 min vid) :-)
Indeed Wherever I may roam, great song!

Wow, that Alembic sounds great! (shocking, right? ;D ). Nice use of the 12er too.
