For the second time in a week, we had the pleasure of Bill & his son Nick for the night - and, of course, picking took place.

Nice pickin' pic. ;D

Thanks for the photographic evidence!

Nice work guys! 8) Did you record?
-
We did not (and if you ever heard my "playing", you'd know that's a good thing; many thanks to Bill for indulging me!)

I like how there are more guitars than people!

Indeed.
If you look at the far left-bottom corner, you'll see the edge of one there, too; there's a bass behind it, and two more hanging on the wall. Not nearly as many as some of you, and not, of course, enough - but enough to make the office look nice (and make Her think there are far too many).
In fact, one of the ones on the wall is a Squier Tele that at that time, with the TRN cranked all the way still had too much relief to be much good for anything but slide (which I suck at even more than fretted, so.....). It now is fitted with a superbly playable neck - mahogany w/pao ferro 'board - from 420 Guitars (otherwise known as Bill tgo).

Izzat a Regal metal-body resonator I spy there... kinda' behind Bro. Bill's right arm? I've been tempted by a couple of those, but I keep reminding myself - dummy, there's a National Duolian in your shop if you'll just finish it! (it was run over by a 1946 Chrysler in the late-60's, and uhhh... the original neck didn't make it.)
-
Good eye; it's a Regal RC-2 Duolian, nickel-plated bell brass. Inherited from my dear friend the late Chicago folk legend Mick Scott.
Now go fix that National & post a shop thread on it!

Looks sweet, Coz! Thinking about it, the neck might be Sapele instead on Mahogany. I’m straightening up my workshop space so I’ll look around to see if I have the info on the neck. I bought it off eBay a few years ago and the on-line purchase history is no longer available. It’s finished with rub-on poly and a satin finish. I leveled and crowned the frets, and installed Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side markers.
