Title: Bob Dylan's new album
Post by: Glynn on June 19, 2020, 12:11:15 PM
Not Alembic related, but just taken delivery of Bob Dylan's new album "Rough and Rowdy Ways".  Whilst I always acknowledged his poetic skills, I have never been totally moved musically by him.  Anyway, the pre-release tracks intrigued me and I liked them so Amazon Prime (UK) dropped it through my letter box this afternoon on THE DAY OF RELEASE!!

Working my way through it - brilliant.  This review from New York Times is a good one - https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/18/arts/music/bob-dylan-rough-and-rowdy-ways-review.html
The first track "I contain multitudes" sets the standard.

Just ordered it from Amazon.  Should be here tomorrow.  I may have a LOT of time to absorb it as it looks like I may be driving to New York next week so I can avoid getting on a plane.

If you need a bed in IL, we've got a couple to spare.

The one song by Bob Dylan that sticks in my mind is the ballad of Hollis Brown that I remember hearing it in the late 70's on a cassette tape a guy from work gave me.
