Ok so I'm really thinking of selling my Alembic bass, so first I'll put the ad here.
It's Balance K Deluxe 5, I'm selling it only because I like my Series 1, shape-wise and tone-wise.
The bass is without scratch, same as it's case. I'm asking the lowest price that I could find on Reverb and whole internet for this bass. The new one in 17600 dollars.
It has Cocobolo top and all other stuff you can find here http://www.alembic.com/prod/signature.html
So the price is 6500 euros, I want to sell it inside EU because I don't want to ship it around the world during this Covid thing.
And that's the one, on picture attached, if you want other pic check them here:

Beautiful bass, Goran (as is your Series I)! :)

arrgh! too bad it's not in the U. S!
-
Gorgeous. Worth a trip back to Zagreb 8)

ok - i'm gonna do a little tyre-kicking here:
does it have neck LEDs? if so what colour and can you post a picture?
how much does it weigh?
-
Hey sorry for wait, yep it does have LED, here are two pics. It's 5.7 kg on my bathroom scale.

OMG 😍
if this was in the US i'd be all over it. aside from the price, just out of curiosity, what would be involved in getting from Croatia to colorado, USA - fees, taxes, paperwork, etc?
-
Not terribly familiar with the import process, the only thing I have had shipped from overseas is my Barefaced cabinet, the paperwork was all filled out by the company and the import fee was very reasonable. But, there shouldn't be an import tax levied to ship an American manufactured product back to the USA. Cocobolo was previously on the CITES list but I am pretty sure the rule has been amended and the wood shouldn't be an issue but it will factor into filling out the export/import paperwork. Since all the work to ship would be Goran's to take care of, though, it is understandable that he would prefer not to ship the bass overseas. It is a beautiful bass and the price seems reasonable, someone will be happy to get it.

Hey guys, well there is a small problem, I shipped a bass in my past to US, All went good, but.. I just went twice to post office and all packages except letters are no allowed for shipping to US. MI called a bunch of people and they have all the same problem, and directive is not from EU, but it is from USA. So I can't ship at the moment. Sorry, maybe in future that changes!

yikes! i just cannot catch a break. i got a little scratch
(ok, a lot of scratch) available to upgrade the Elan. But when i find something that's reasonably priced, but the basses that i want to make a play for either can't be shipped to the USA or the owner doesn't wanna part with them all of a sudden.
there's still lots of overpriced fish in the sea, it seems. sooner or later someone's gonna come to their senses and make a deal. at least i keep saying that to myself.
can't ship packages from the EU to the USA? that's gotta put a cramp in the old global commerce, eh what? 🧐

Yea man, weird times... hope things get better soon... for now bass stays here :)
