Title: Does the Shape of This Bass Look Familiar?
Post by: lbpesq on May 03, 2020, 06:12:59 PM
For the long time members, I saw this on reverb and couldn’t help thinking of Hal’s “Tomahawk”.

Wow, Bill - that brought back some memories! Memories I might have preferred to leave behind, but still got a laugh out of it!

Tailpiece looks centered (as long as we are jiggling)  :o

Was the Tomahawk concept ever seen to fruition?
If I recall the knob landscape was very crowded.

I read the threads during the time and it was probably one of the hot topics of the time.
For those that want to know.

Bill,

I hope you remember what happened in Beetlejuice, when they said his name three times!

Pete

I know I'm tempting fate with this but its like watching a train wreck, I CAN'T HELP MYSELF! Who knows maybe it is an improvement over the typical P Bass controls, maybe. I just wonder how long before it is hacked during the middle of a live show.  8)

Whew!   I thought I was about to see the Tomahawk at NAMM!  Scary thought!  Of course I really shouldn't be surprised since back then we were regularly "treated" to such photo-shopped delights as Tomahawk being played by Darth Vader, the Mona Lisa, Jiminy Cricket, etc.

And I've only written his name once.

Let's try an alt take on this...

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!

Shoot, that didn't work.   :o
