Title: [SOLD] F-1X
Post by: dela217 on May 01, 2020, 11:13:52 AM
I have an F-1X that I am not using.   It has been sitting in a rack for years.    This is the same old F-1X that you are familiar with, but it is the early one with the Alembic logo and graphic on it.    This unit is in VERY good condition.   No rack rash on the top bottom or sides.   The only cosmetic issue is one of the rack ears has a small scrape on it.   That happened before I got it.   Once it is racked that scrape is invisible.    The front has perfect graphics and knobs.   The back is the same way.   $450.00 ?

I have more pictures.   I can text them to you if interested.

Big fan of the old red-capped knobs!  And the logo is tres cool!   One thing I could never understand - what’s the big deal about “rack rash”?   I see this all the time.   While I understand concerns over “buckle rash” on instruments,  once my F-2B or SF-2 were in the rack I couldn’t see or care about scratches on the top or bottom of the enclosures.   As long as it works and the front panel looks good, I’m happy.

Someone’s getting a deal here - great price and coming from Michael it’s bound to be in top-notch condition!
Good luck with the sale.

Bill, tgo

Thanks Bill!    It really is in top notch condition.   If it sells, ok.   If not,  that's ok too.    I just figured I'm not using it.    i probably will not use a rack system at my age!   Lately I have been using one of those little GK MB800's with a single 12 cabinet.   Tiny, light, one trip load in including the bass!    And lots of times I just don't use an amp at all.
