Would like to trade for an F2-B (non vintage) black chassis and knob
Works perfect. Padded on top, velcro squares in bottom corners and a few scratches on bottom. Rack ears in great condition and straight. Comes with a generic power supply (non-original). $770 shipped CONUS ONLY

Darnell (and other members).
Is there anything special about the original power supply that would make a generic one problematic or a concern?
Thanks
Paul

No. I just say it's generic because it's not the original it came with; it's no different. ( I actually have that one coming in the mail soon, the seller forgot to include it so sent it afterwards)

I think they are pretty forgiving in terms of power supplies.
-
Thank you for the answers.
I really want an SF2, trying to justify the expense when I am currently not playing out, nor playing IN... but there is so much good talk about the 'swiss army knife' of tone.
Can an SF2 be used as a 'headphone' amp?
-
Not sure about a headphone amp. I used it for direct into my computer for recording.
-
I don't think they would make a good headphone amp. But you can find a decent headphone amp (or build one) for not too much money.
I agree that they aren't particular about power supplies. I got mine through ex-Alembic employee Kent Fosgreen and it came with a random EV power supply which has worked fine since 1998.

Now have the original it came with + an extra power supply.
