Hi Mica. I have owned this bass since 2007. Only just getting round to finding out more about the history. The combination of full on quilted maple top and back on a standard bass with the understated and elegant neck has always intrigued me. Scott

Please find photos of bass attached.

Scott,
“... understated and elegant neck.”
Indeed!
Serial number indicates the bass was made in 2000. SJ are “Signature” electronics.
Have patience as it may take some time for Mica to reply to this.

Scott,
a great bass you have there!

Wow, that's a beauty!

Thanks for the kind words. Quilted maple on this bass has the.most 3D effect I've ever seen. I've attached more photos although impossible to capture the depth.
-
Again I must say:
gorgeous!

Sorry Scott,
I wasn't able to locate your instrument file. I can tell you with some certainty most of the specifications based on the photos, but I won't know the exact birthdate.
top: Quilted Maple
accent: Purpleheart laminate
body: Mahogany
back: Quilted Maple
neck: 3-piece Maple
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: need close up to tell
LEDs: don't know - but it looks like there are front Laser LEDs
pickups: Alembic AXY
controls: Signature
Sorry I couldn't tell you more. The silver toggle switch is probably not original, so you can maybe tell me about it's function (LEDs?). DO you know if the LEDs were put in aftermarket?
I will keep an eye out for the file and if I run across it I will update the information here.

Thanks Mica. Previous owner had front LED's fitted by Martin Sims in England in 2004. Scott
