This looks good, thanks for the link. My whole concept of what music could be changed when a friend's older brother played us a couple of British import Who singles in 1966. I never attempted, or even wanted, to play like John but he still ranks as one of my favorite bass players of all time.

Quadrophenia... my neighbors older brother had it and he played I am the Sea which of course rolls right into The Real Me.
That was the moment I really knew what bass was and that I wanted one.

Cover for US edition is much nicer than the British edition and features "Alembic content".

Just finished the book...its an easy read... But it was also very sad. It mostly dealt with interpersonal relationships rather than his musical achievements. Sad how lifelong addictions can hollow out a life. I'm waiting to read Roger's book next....it may possibly show the other side of Who activities.
