Here's an interesting masquerade in Minneapolis https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/msg/d/minneapolis-alembic-fx-2-dual-channel/7078825452.html (https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/msg/d/minneapolis-alembic-fx-2-dual-channel/7078825452.html). Now I've heard of an F1-X, F2-B, and SF-2 but this is an Alembic FX-2 dual channel guitar amp. Has the mothership come up with something I haven't heard of yet and is so new that it doesn't show up on its website? According to the seller"
"The Alembic FX-2 is a reconstruction of the tube preamp section of the invenerable Fender dual showman made famous by David Gilmore of Pink Flowd (Similar to the FX-2, I haven't heard of that group either). This is a redesign of the original that uses a 150 watt hi end solid state amp, producing a high quality warm sound to the guitar amps."
But wait....it's not really what even the seller claims it to be because:
"This was originally built for a customer but was loved so much by other guitarist friends and colleagues I decided to build others."
Now I suppose it's technically possible that Ron is building new Alembic equipment on the side and selling it, not through the mothership, but on Craigslist in Minneapolis, but...
I have e-mailed the seller and asked him to clarify and be truthful about what he is selling and who actually built it, but have yet yo hear back from him.

That's been reported here before (can't recall if it was ebay or craigslist), and I think he was contacted by Alembic to remove it, but I'm not sure.

Here's the previous report; http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=25134.0

Again?! Some people. Time to report since he never replies to me.
David Gilmore of Pink Flowd still kills me.

I live in Minneapolis - if you want I could take a look and get some details!
-
Invenerable????? Was that the title of a Pink Flowd album or something? It certainly isn't an actual word.
-
At least it sounds good "Quite or loud"
I hope this thing gets pulled soon.

I was skimming this thread and “Pink Flowd” caught my eye. My immediate thought is that it was about the pop star “Pink”!

Spooner strikes again (inveterate, venerable).
