I would appreciate the build information on my Series 1 SN76AE076.
The original paper work was destroyed by fire along with our wedding photo's when our house burnt down recently.
I've owned this bass since 1982 or 83 and is prized possession
Thank You
Stephen O'Neill

Welcome, Stephen. :)
Well, first of all, sorry to hear about your home being burned... I can't imagine a much worse personal tragedy. Glad to hear at least your Alembic was spared though.
Yours is an interesting number, in that those AE export numbers aren't all that commonplace. The first one that comes to mind is a near-neighbor to yours, and belonged to a much-loved, now departed member of this Board. http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=6414.0 Georgie Boy's bass at AE 76-069 was born on March 31st of 1976, so I'll guess yours wasn't far behind it. No idea how similar it may be, as no two are alike.
Alembic recently relocated their headquarters, so it may be a little while before Mica unpacks those dusty old file cabinets with all the old build records, so in the meantime, if you'll post us a couple pictures of your instrument, we can make a few somewhat educated guesses about the construction.
Again, Welcome to the Alembic Club!.

Yes, A photo or two would be great, love the older ones.
This link provides info on a bunch of Alembics. Although yours is not listed, you can see what builds were like around that time, kind of cool. http://www.fcbass.nl/alembic/10.htm
Welcome :)

Thanks for the advice I couldn't figure out how to load photos less than 500kb, but have uploaded some to Alembic Bass Guitars Facebook if you get a chance to look I would be interested in your thoughts
