Yeah, they're looking OK - but what would the game be like if they were playing in Green Bay? As a life-long Midwesterner (and high school football player), I have to point out - if it never snows on your home games, you're not really playing football.
But, it's the Packers, so - go, 'Niners!

Being a cheesehead I just have to say...
Both those Bay teams got what they played for. One played with a focus on execution of plays the other played like the Packers.
Paul (who prefers college and even high school football over the NFL)

I'll be cheering the other team ;)
I really like Mahomes, so young but such a team leader and very talented.
-
Young, talented, and a leader? I’ll see your Mahomes and raise you a Bosa. (And boy, is Mahomes going to be seeing Bosa - right in his face all afternoon!)
BANG BANG NINER GANG!

I still maintain that Aaron Rogers is the best dern QB I've ever seen play (and, if you know how many years I spent as a Bears fan, you know what a compliment that is applied to a Packer) - I'm just wondering where the heck he was Sunday; sure didn't look he was in San Fran...........

Definitely an off day for Rogers. He's really amazing for sure! My partner is a Packers fan so I get to see a lot of him, lol.

Rodgers grew up a little north of here and played his college ball at my alma mater, U.C. Berkeley. The 49ers had the top pick in the draft that year. I was flabbergasted when they passed up on local hero Rodgers and picked Alex "Game Manager" Smith! At the time, a reporter asked Rodgers if he was disappointed that the Niners didn't pick him. He replied: "Not as disappointed as the 49ers will be that they didn’t draft me." Boy, was he right! However, Rodgers' performance last Sunday was less a "down day" for him and more a result of the Niner defense. The only QBs who haven't looked cowed by the Niners this year are the mobile ones like Lamar Jackson and Russel Wilson. Mahomes can run, so he has a chance to make it interesting.
Peter: I assume you never saw Joe Montana play?

To the casual observer it seems that Aaron Rodgers does not have the same passion and joy that he used to exude on the field.
Paul (who holds Roger Staubach in high regard)

Go Niners. From over here it’s Super Bowl Monday. I have to take the day off work.

Yep. And Steve Young, Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Namath, Tom Brady, Archie, Eli & Peyton Manning, Len Dawson, Darryl Lamonica, Kenny Stabler, Johnny Unitis, Bart Starr, Fran Tarkington - pretty much everybody since about the AFL-NFL World Championship Game (no, it wasn't "Super Bowl I"!); I stand by my assessment - no of them were as good as Rogers.

Not even Colin Kaepernick?

If Bears fans ran the team instead of the McCaskey family, I promise he'd have gig right now - but no, not as good as Rogers.
Peter (who is in awe of the long list of great Bear QBs, ranging all the way from Sid Luckman in the the '40s to.....well, Sid Luckman in the '40s)

Oops - please reread my posts #5 & 10, adding the "d" that I left out of young Mr. Rodgers's name.
Thank you.

As a Minnesotan, I’m all for any team that can defeat....I really mean annihilate... the Packers not once, but twice in a season. It will be an interesting game. If K.C. is going to win Mahomes (his father used to pitch for the MN Twins) is going to need his receivers to come up big with yards after catch because there’s no way he’s going to have the time to allow them to get downfield. Of course KC is also going to need to find a way to stop an undrafted RB and offensive line who just made the Packers front seven look like they were playing flag football last Sunday.

How ‘bout those Chiefs!
-
Great game, back and forth play.
-
Speaking as someone with no dog in the fight - man, that was a good football game!

Kind of sorry to see San Fran lose, but HEY! The best team won...
-
It was a good game, happy for Andy Reid, he seems like a nice guy.

Pitchers and catchers report in a couple of weeks!

Yes, I'm afraid the Niners are going alright, empty-handed, to SFO. Don't feel too bad about it, they were the last ones to fall. I did get one hell of a laugh in that '100 Year' long commercial with the little blond-headed kid running past all the 100-Year team members when Joe told JG to put the bags in the car, and told Steve ' . . . . I'll give him a tip . . . . '
