i have my first gig of 2020 and roaring into the 20's with the sound of my Dragon Magic Series I guitar It's a dep reggae gig playing guitar for a Freddie McGregor Tribute band. just finished sound check and on stage at 01:00am
I am using the guitar in stereo into my Roland JC120 with the neck pickup in the 2nd channel of the amp to get the chorus and reverb. The bridge is in the dry channel of the amp and gets the feed from my custom audio electronics wah and Tonebone Trimode distortion pedal. Sounds rich and full.

Hey Jazzy, hope you have/had a fun gig! Very cool that you’re playing Dragon Magic. I almost feel like a proud parent! For those who weren’t around, about fifteen years ago I won an eBay auction for Dragon Magic. After the auction closed and, thankfully, before I paid, I got an email from Mica telling me it was a fraudulent listing. That led to my joining this forum! So let Dragon Magic strut its stuff!

I recall you telling that story once I had bought it and I hope you don't feel like I'm rubbing salt into the wounds when I enthuse about this guitar. It's such an incredible guitar to play and the sound is just something else. Visually it's huge and always gets comments although this evening only the rhythm guitarist commented on it.

Not at all! It’s great to know where it is and that a friend has it. Between “Woody”, my custom Further, “The Other One”, my ‘76 Series I MSG, “Big Irv”, my ‘77 Series I 12 String LSG, and Old #10, I am not wanting for Alembic guitars! Though it would be cool to play it someday. lol

That's outstanding, Jazzy... sounds like a great way to start the year and a new decade off. Personally, I'd have to have a lot of coffee for a 1 o'clock downbeat. ;D

First bass gig of the year. I'm out with Musical Youth on a last minute gig. I will be taking my Series I Europa out with me tonight, SF-2 powered bass rack and Barefaced BT2. Smokin'

I'm currently hosting a Watch Party on Facebook feel free to join if you wish. I'm using my Series I and Series II basses.
Here is a watch party made up from a gig we did in 2014 to celebrate the music of Grover Washington Jr. https://www.facebook.com/watchparty/707560263398564/ (https://www.facebook.com/watchparty/707560263398564/)

Had a message last night from the band leader of Musical Youth, we have been asked to do a live streamed gig from a rehearsal facility with a large live room. It was mentioned a couple of months back but now it seems like there is movement. I will fill you in on any dates when I have them if you want to tune in to some 1980's vintage reggae played by vintage musicians who do not qualify as Musical Youths anymore. :-)

That be so cool.
I hope they can do a youtube stream.

'Vintage Musician' = automatically more valuable. ;D
Sounds like a great time, Jazzy. :)

Assumed to be more valuable hahaha, as we know the market decides. :-)

Sounds cool and fun. Keep us posted!

This seems to be the wave of, at least, the immediate future. My band has been asked to do a live stream gig next month. I’ll, too, post the info when it firms up.

Cool, I will certainly try to tune into that when the info comes.

This video came up on my Facebook memories today without a share option. We all had a great time preparing for and performing this gig to Grover Washington Jr. This is a film I put together just to show at the start of the gig. There is no playing by us but still brought great memoiries back.
