I've had an old Whirlwind cable tester box for decades now. Recently, I've been seeing many cable testers that do more than just the 1/4" phone jacks and 3-pin XLRs, and include Speakons, RJ-45s and more. There's one that's a Dealzone sale today at B&H Photo (bhphotovideo.com) for $30 that included something I haven't seen elsewhere - 5-pin XLR connections! So, I guess if you want to check out your Series bass cable, you ought to jump on this.

$30 (instead of $40). Looks like this is good through Saturday.
The 5-pin XLR connector is used on DMX lighting boxes which is probably how it got on here. But I expect that it will work with your Series cable as well.

This looks like a rebranded and different color version of the same cable tester Jazzyvee posted about last year.

I picked one up then. Very versatile unit. And the B&H version is $13 cheaper than I paid for mine!

Ah yes... very true. This B&H one appeared to be the same unit that Musicians Friend had as a Stupid Deal of the Hour on NYD with the addition of the 5-pin jack. I'm sure they all started out side by side in a factory in China.
I did buy one of these, but had to comment that amid the forest of connectors, they left off the 1/8" headphone jacks which have the shortest lifetime of any cables that I ever use. Similarly, the put USB-A and -B connectors on there, but didn't put a micro-USB on there which would have been a good addition.

The B&H unit, as well as Jazzy’s and mine, has the 1/8” / 3.5 mm jacks.

??? I see 1/4" jacks (traditional guitar phone jacks), but not the 1/8" minis (like modern consumer electronic analog headphones).

Now that you point that out, I realize the one I bought is a little different. I have the 1/8” sockets, but no USB. Here’s a link to the one I purchased:
