Because if you're not celebrating Festivus, can you really be worthy of a 'bic ?
Happy Festivus everyone !
Of course, you know the rules.
I'll start off:
Airing of Grievances
Honestly, I don't have any. At least not any that I can sincerely authenticate. This year, I managed to come up with 2 vintage Sunn heads (pre-'71, thank you very much) + 2 matching vintage Sunn cabinets + 2 additional Sunn rackmount stereo heads from the later Hartzell era, + an F1X, + an SF-2, plus a beautiful '92 Europa and an even beautifuller '18 SC retro deluxe (both courtesy of my friend J9, to whom I am mucho indebted) and finally both Bill and Steve from the board here immediately sent me manuals for the SF2.
Full disclosure: if I actually did air a real grievance, it would have to be that I haven't met any of you in person...yet. With a year like this, if I complained about anything else, I think I'd get struck by a bolt of lightning. Thus this will be my grievance for next year again unless this unacceptable situation is properly assuaged.
Feats of Strength
Did I mention that they were "vintage" Sunns ?
The Festivus Meal
I don't really cook much, but if someone could come up with a meatloaf real quick (no pork, please) it would be a Festivus Miracle.
If Frank was here, he would remind you that Festivus is part of your heritage and you must fulfill your obligations (gee, where have I heard that before ?) Sure...great...just try finding an aluminum pole (known for its high strength/weight ratio) at this time of year. But otherwise my Festivus is now complete.
OK folks, you're up. How was your year ?

Grievances: none, it's been an enjoyable year
Feats of Strength: I finally got around to rebuilding the woodshed, so now I need to get out and cut some wood to put in it
Festivus Meal: I'm planning on fixing some rice and veggies

Are you looking for a recipe, or food delivery?

I'm working today, tomorrow, and Wednesday, finishing out a 10-day stretch. :P
It would be very, very easy to see quite a few things in life as a negative right now, but truth be told, I'm about the luckiest dude I know.
I'll get around to feats of strength when I get done with these crazy shifts. It's going to involve lifting 10 lbs. worth of the finest bass guitar on Planet Earth, if you're curious.
I made some pretty awesome seven-layer cookies for my neighbors and coworkers. I'm thinking the edges and corners, and the ones that wouldn't fit in the gift tins might be supper... and coffee, of course. ;D

Don't forget the traditional Aluminum Pole, (or for our brothers and sisters across the pond, the Aluminium Pole).
FESTIVUS FOR THE REST OF US!
