Title: Series 1 Pricing
Post by: synapticgroove on December 03, 2019, 06:36:36 PM
For those of you in the know, is 7-10k good pricing on a used Series 1? For argument’s sake, we are talking about ‘good’ to ‘very good’ condition instruments that are in no need of repair...circa ‘79-‘90.

Thoughts?

Sounds about double the usual used prices to me.  If you are patient and diligent, you should be able to find a good used Series instrument in the $3500-$6000 range.  Remember, “asking price” is often significantly different than “selling price”.

👍 that sounds good to me. I really wish I had an opportunity to try one out.  Come spring, I’ll plan a road trip to the nearest dealer and get my feet wet.

Thanks!

And depends where are you located in the world, they are mostly cheaper in US, little pricey in EU and very expensive in Japan...

I'm logistically centered right in the middle - Oklahoma.  I'm sure there are some Series owners in Texas, but I would highly doubt that there are too many Alembics floating around Oklahoma.  Dallas is only a 4 hour drive though!  ;D
