Nick,
Welcome to the club. Your other basses may not be as thrilled as you are!
I recognize your discretion and applaud it. Many of the best transactions are where the buyer feels as if he stole it and the seller is more than pleased at the cash received... perhaps that was your situation. :)

Hi Edward
Yes it certainly was my intention. I didn't understand its value at the time but recognised the quality build. Am going to go back this evening and purchase his Peavey Firewall 700 and cab for a fairer value to compensate.
In regards to my other basses - yes the Ibanez collection may get a lil jealous
Am currently holding
Ibanez Musician 1979 MC 900DS
Ibanez Studio 1980 ST 824
Ibanez Roadster 1979 RS 800 BS
Ibanez Recorder triumph 1972 model 2381
Grestch 1975-77 Broadkaster 7606
But I think its safe to say that the Essence is hands down the nicest bass I have played, feels like a sweet old Aria Pro II short scale I use to have. The fretboard feels like butter and the action is so sweet.

Wow, it has been a while since we saw this one! I searched the serial number simply because I know Mica is pretty busy and there was an outside chance yours might be one already looked up. 11 years... Welcome Back, 95K 9110. ;D
Those are some fine bass guitars Nick, quite a collection of not commonly seen Ibanez. Your new Alembic should complement the set quite well.
